The Beginning — Carefree Alarms
Our story begins in 1982, when Jorge Ramirez founded Carefree Alarms with a simple goal: to protect families by installing reliable home security systems. It was a small, family-run business built on trust, hard work, and doing right by our customers — values that still guide us to this day.
Building Bigger Dreams
As word spread about Jorge's attention to detail and honest work, the business naturally evolved. Homeowners started asking us to handle more than just alarms — so we rolled up our sleeves and got to work renovating kitchens, bathrooms, and entire homes. Before long, we were designing and building custom houses from the ground up, bringing people's visions to life with the same care and pride we started with.
Expanding Our Impact
What began in homes eventually led us to the heart of the city. We took on our first public project with the City of New York — building dog parks — and proved ourselves one project at a time. We grew into larger, more complex jobs: renovating government office buildings, upgrading healthcare facilities, and completing hospital projects across the boroughs. Today, we're a trusted, self-performing general contractor with deep roots in New York — still a family business at heart.
